The objective of the project is to improve the delivery of urban services through enhancing the quality of urban infrastructure and strengthening the industrial and financial framework. The proposed repeated project would build on and consolidate the achievements of TNUDP II, continuing to improve urban infrastructure services in Tamil Nadu in a sustainable manner.

1. Workshop on construction, O&M of slaughter house in ULBs will be held on 25.02.2007 at Hotel Breeze, Chennai. Orientation Training Programme for Councilors of Municipalities are going on at Coimbatore from 4th Dec 2006 and Trichy from 19.02.2007
2. Training for Municipal Engineers through CMWSSB Training centres is going on from June 2006. PG Diploma in Urban Management and DUM are being held at YASHADA, Pune from 19th January 2007
